Image Depicts the waterfront at Newport RI. 3 generations of fishing boats alongside the Aquidneck Lobster Co. Seen from the dock’s behind Bowen’s Wharf. Crew and employees can be seen going about their business in the morning light. The wharf buildings as they were in 1984. The owner of the Aquidneck Lobster Co., Mr. Ron Fatulli purchased the first 3 remarqued prints of this edition. My association goes back to 1977, and my first visit to Newport.
The original painting is oil on Linen on panel. 33″x46″. It was painted in the spring of 2011. It was subsequently accepted into this years Mystic Maritime International Competition where it hangs in the Maritime Museum at Mystic through November 13th. It can also been seen online till May of 2012.
